The current business operation at Scottish Churches House closed on 15th July 2011.

The ACTS trustees would like to take this opportunity to express their thanks to the staff and supporters of the House for their commitment to the House over many years.

In accordance with the unanimous decision taken at a Members' Meeting of Action of Churches Together in Scotland on 15th June 2011, ACTS will 'retain Leighton House to include office space for ACTS staff, other potential offices for a variety of denominational partners or other organisations with aims in line with those of ACTS and the member denominations, and some small non-residential meeting facilities; lease and/or sell the remaining buildings.'

Description of SCH

Scottish Churches House has been an ecumenical conference centre on the Cathedral square in Dunblane, offering delightful accommodation at attractive prices for residential conferences, day meetings, weddings and celebrations.

Easily accessible from all over Scotland, Scottish Churches House provided a fine range of facilities for groups and organisations, both religious and secular alike. There was overnight accommodation for up to 42 people, with 26 in the main house and 16 in Leighton House. The conference hall and dining room could accommodate 75. Six more meeting rooms and lounges of different sizes offered facilities for all requirements.

The mediaeval chapel in the garden was a special venue for intimate weddings and other celebrations. The refurbished dining room served delicious meals and fair trade wines for all occasions.

On the north side of the Cathedral square the Leighton House annexe provided separate accommodation for groups of up to 16. Its newly installed kitchen offered a self-catering option for small groups which was easy and cheap. The courtyard and gardens are places of beauty, quiet and seclusion.
