Painting Days 2011
Time:
16 May 2011 - 4:00pm - 20 May 2011 - 2:00pm
Location:
Scottish Churches House, Dunblane PAINTING DAYS led by Rev. John Butterfield
A week on the theme
“Blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing” – Pissaro
These painting days offer participants the space to paint and draw in
your own style but as a group. This is a week in Scottish Churches House
where we provide a comfortable space to help you develop your own paintings and drawings in the pretty Scottish town of Dunblane. The week is co-ordinated by Revd John Butterfield, a fine amateur painter who paints with you, who has been leading painting breaks for about ten years.
Each day participants will be able to work indoors in the studio or explore outside and paint and sketch the many historic nooks and crannies of the old town. There will be no formal art teaching but there will be lots of encouragement. There will also be an evening programme including a film and a demonstration from a local artist.
Participants bring their art materials with them and we give helpful ideas for subjects in the studio and local areas. Over the years many people have found it a valuable and renewing experience to be able to get away from their domestic responsibilities for a few days and concentrate on their creativity.
Participants are invited to join in short informal morning and evening prayers in the historic chapel.
Cost: Single En-suite £240.00
