Walkers Week

Tuesday August 10th
A Drummond Castle Circuit
A circular walk around the castle, starting and finishing at the Stuart Crystal car park in Crieff.  The walk begins along the River Earn, visits Bennybeg Pond and craft centre, before entering woodlands around Drummond Castle, which boasts one of the finest formal gardens in Europe.  A visit to see these would be optional.

Wednesday August 11th
Loch Leven Heritage Trail
A linear walk from Kinross visitor centre, Kirkgate Park, to Vane Farm Nature Reserve, along the shores of Loch Leven.  A newly created walkway, generally flat and a 'no hill' route!  Options to this on the day, would be a short boat trip to Castle Island, where Mary Queen of Scots was held captive in 1567, or a visit to Kinross House gardens.

Thursday August 12th
A Section of the Fife Coastal Path - St Monans to Crail
Picturesque harbours and pretty villages overflowing with character and charm along this popular coastline.  Mainly grassy pathways link the villages.  Any section of the coastal path by special request!  A new inclusion to our programme- rather further to travel, but I'm sure it will be worth it.

Friday August 13th
An Optional Walk of Your Choice
Perhaps one you would like to do with Eric, Gill or Dorothy to visit a local hill or beauty spot.  Planned on arrival evening when the programme is discussed.

We are offering a break of 5 nights with 4 full days walking.  All walks with an experienced leader.  We begin with an evening meal at 6pm on Monday 9th August and finish with breakfast on Saturday 14th August.

All walkers will be expected to come with clothing, boots and daysac appropriate to walking the Scottish hills.

Evening sessions: poems, anecdotes, etc... your favourites, funny or serious - over to you.  Bellringing in the Cathedral.

Cost: This cost covers full board accommodation, including a packed lunch each day.  The cost for a single en-suite room £295 (reduction for sharing). The cost includes daily transport.
