Who am I? Exploring our Identity in a multi-faith Scotland
Young People's Overnight Conference for Scottish Inter-Faith Week.
For 18 to 28 year olds.
In partnership with Scottish Inter-Faith Council.
St Andrews Day is celebrated in Scotland as its national Day. Tartan, Bagpipes and all things Scottish will be evident. But is this an accurate depiction of moden day Scotland?
Over the last 25 years this country has become more diverse in culture and religion. How do young people define themselves in Scotland today? Is the culture of their parents still a strong and influential force? And what of Faith? How do young people of faiths other than Christianity perceive their religious identity in a secular Scotland? How do young Christians perceive the different beliefs of other religions?
For 24 hours young people (18-28 years) will meet in SCH Dunblane to explore these questions and consider their place in a modern Scotland.
This Conference will be subsidised by various organisations including Scottish Inter-Faith Council and Scottish Churches House. There is no charge being made to participants. But if you are able to get self sponsorship (£50) from your own religious organisation this would be appreciated.
