Frequent trains serve Dunblane from Edinburgh (one hour) and Glasgow (40 minutes), linking up with main line services to Perth, Inverness, Dundee and the East Coast. The M9 motorway from Stirling to Perth runs past Dunblane with regular bus services.

Three International Airports serve Dunblane. From Edinburgh Airport take the shuttle bus to Edinburgh Waverley Station in the city centre and take the train. From Glasgow International Airport take the shuttle bus to Queen Street Station in the city centre and take the train. From Glasgow Prestwick Airport take the train (45 minutes) to Glasgow Central Station, walk (15 minutes) or take the transfer bus to Queen Street Station and take the train. Alternatively, from Glasgow Prestwick Airport take the bus to Glasgow Buchanan Street Bus Station and change buses for Dunblane.

Dunblane is well situated for exploring Stirling, Bannockburn, Loch Katrine and the Trossachs. There are many beautiful walks of different lengths to places like Sheriffmuir, Bridge of Allan and Doune Castle. The Blair Drummond Safari Park is within easy reach.
