Following an Extraordinary Members’ Meeting held on Monday 10th January 2011, two statements have been issued by Action Together in Scotland (ACTS) Trustees concerning Scottish Churches House, as follows:
1. Scottish Churches House - Closure
2. Scottish Churches House - tender process for new business operation
The texts of the two statements are shown below.
1. “At an Extraordinary Members’ Meeting held on Monday 10th January 2011, the Member Churches of Action of Churches Together in Scotland (ACTS):-
affirmed the ACTS trustees’ decision that, in light of the current financial situation of Scottish Churches House, which is running at a substantial loss, ACTS trustees will close the business operations at SCH.
The closure date will be 15th July 2011.
The staff of SCH have been kept fully informed of these developments and redundancies will be negotiated with all staff.

2. “At an Extraordinary Members’ Meeting held on Monday 10th January 2011, the Member Churches of Action of Churches Together in Scotland (ACTS):-
endorsed the trustees’ decision to invite enquiries and tenders from organisations who might wish to lease the SCH property on a care and maintenance basis.
An information and application pack setting out terms and conditions, including a sample lease, is now available from ACTS.
The closing date for tenders is Friday 8th April 2011 and a decision about whether to accept any tender will made on Wednesday 5th May 2011.
A new business operation at the House could begin on 15th August 2011.
